 Plants has many different parts.

Let's look at a flower.

 

 

Roots

The roots are the part that helps the flower stay in the ground and get the water it needs.

 

 

 

 

Stem

The stem is the part that supports the flower and helps it reach for the sun.

 

 

 

Leaves

The leaves take in the sunlight and use it to make food for the flower.

 

 

 

 

 

Bud

The bud is the part of the flower that hasn't quite bloomed yet and is tightly closed.

 

 

 

 

Petals

Some flowers have a colorful part that is full of petals and have a sweet smell.

 

Now, let's look at a tree.

 

Roots

The roots are like the tree's underground arms and legs, and they help it take in water from the ground.

 

 

 

 

Trunk

The trunk is like the tree's backbone. It helps support the leaves, branches, and fruits above the ground.

 

 

 

 

Leaves

The leaves are like the tree's hands, and they help the tree make food and stay healthy.

 

 

 

Branches

The branches are like the tree's arms, and they help hold the leaves and the fruits in place.

 

 

 

Fruits

The fruits are like the tree's treasure, and they are filled with delicious treats to eat!
