[eigot a.s.] Plant 002-06 We Eat!

Did you know that there are many different parts of a plant that you can eat? From the leaves to the roots, there are plenty of delicious and nutritious plant-based foods that you can enjoy. By exploring all the different parts, you can find lots of delicious ways to enjoy a variety of meals.

Leaves:  Leafy greens, such as spinach, kale, and lettuce, are some popular plant that has a great source of vitamins and minerals . Enjoy them raw in salads, as a side dish, in soups, or cooked in stir-fries.

Stems:  Asparagus, celery, and broccoli are all edible stems that can be enjoyed raw or cooked. Stem vegetables can be a great way to add nutrition and flavor to any meal.

Bulbs: Onions, garlic, and shallots are all types of bulbs that can be added to a variety of dishes for flavor.

Flowers: Edible flowers are like roses, marigolds, and pansies. It can be eaten raw, added to salads, or used to decorate desserts. Edible flowers can also be used to make teas, syrups, and jellies.

Fruits: Many types of fruits come from plants, including apples, oranges, and berries. Enjoy them fresh or use them in smoothies, jams, and many other recipes.

Legumes: Beans, peas, and peanuts, are a nutritious plant part that can be eaten in a variety of ways.

Eating different parts of vegetables can help you to be healthier and stronger. It will help you to get the important nutrients that your body needs for energy, growth, and your health.
