Japanese radish
In Japan, they call this Japanese radish, Daikon, which means "big root" because it can grow really long. It's a long, white radish with a mild, slightly peppery flavor and a crisp texture. Daikon is a popular vegetable in Japan and is used in many dishes, such as miso soup, salads, and pickles.
Examples:
- Me and my grandpa went to harvest Japanese radish in the garden.
- My mom always put Japanese radish in the miso soup.
- We can use the leftover Japanese radish into pickles.
