Bleeding is when your body lets out a red liquid called blood. It happens when you get a cut or scrape, and it helps your body heal the wound.

 

Example

  1. The carpenter had to sand the wood to make sure the paint wouldn't bleed into the grain.
  2. I had to change my shirt after I spilled coffee on it, as the stain was beginning to bleed through.
  3. I could see the red ink bleeding through the back of the paper when I held it up to the light.
