Cousin

Cousin

noun

A cousin is a relative with whom a person shares one or more common ancestors, but typically this relationship is through the person's parents' siblings. The children of one's aunt or uncle are considered first cousins. There are also further distinctions such as second cousins, where the individuals share great-grandparents, and third cousins, who have the same great-great-grandparents, and so on.
