A decimal is a base-10 numbering system used to represent numbers using ten digits (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9) and a decimal point. The decimal point separates the integer part of a number (to the left of the decimal point) from the fractional part (to the right of the decimal point).
