"Snake" is a long, thin animal with no legs. It moves by sliding on the ground. Snakes can be found in many places around the world. They have scales on their skin and some can be very colorful. Some snakes are harmless, but others can be dangerous because they have poison. They eat things like mice and insects. Snakes are a type of reptile, just like turtles and lizards.
