A waitress is a type of service staff typically found in restaurants, cafes, bars, and similar establishments. The term generally refers to a female server who takes customer orders, serves food and drinks, and assists with maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of the establishment, often working in conjunction with kitchen staff and cashiers. Waitresses may also be expected to provide attentive and efficient service in order to earn tips from customers.
