World Heritage refers to places on Earth that are considered to be of outstanding value to humanity and are therefore protected for future generations to appreciate and enjoy. These places can be natural wonders, such as the Grand Canyon or the Great Barrier Reef, or they can be cultural sites, such as the Taj Mahal or the Great Wall of China.
